Api-Journey Day 2:
I began my day by admitting that I was disappointed in my Api-Journey the day before which helped in my determination for the day. I took the picture shown above while at a stop light to demonstrate my disappointment and determination...that's my disappointed/determine face. #facialgrammar
I was headed to Birch Bay / Blaine, Washington to spend the weekend at a Worldmark time-share with my Mother-in-Law and Sister-in-Law , Carol and Joan.
It was only a 2 hour trip from Lynnwood, so I knew I had all day to find me some BEE STUFF.
I'm discovering that there's a certain beekeeper profile, and I fit all the criteria except one: Most are quite chill, laid back, and easygoing...my fireball enthusiasm seems to scare some of those folks!
Next stop was in a charming little town called Snohomish. BINGO!
I bought my first piece of beekeeping equipment, my hooded jacket!
Snohomish Bee Company was great!

Next stop was in Arlington at a place called Infusion Studios where I did purchase a Bee Oasis.
Dylan was quite the interesting guy. He's an artist. He tattoos, pierces, paints, and creates rad stuff for bees and other pollinators.
I appreciated him bending the rules a bit for me...Washington is quite different than North Idaho in the ways of social reaction to Covid.
I'm excited to try out my little watering/feeding station and can do so as soon as I get home. I was a bit surprised that the mason jar didn't come with it, but still, it's rad and I'm excited to use it. I like that it's designed specifically for bees and...isn't ugly.
Every other water/feeder contraption I've seen for bees or other pollinators are just not good looking. Bee Oasis is cool; I'm going to have a cute bee yard!

After Arlington, I was ready for the coast.
Bandit and I headed to Birch Bay!
